Rich, This was a good lead. Now I know that I will need to create my own profile.do file to run when I start Stata. However, I am still trying to locate the syntax for setting my general preferences. For example, if I wanted to set my opening font to courier 12, what syntax would I have to write in the profile.do file? Can you set things like fonts and colors using just syntax or do you have to use the menu system? Thanks, -- Mosi On Feb 23, 2013, at 12:47 PM, richgold@ix.netcom.com wrote: -h profile- Rich -----Original Message----- > From: Mosi Ifatunji <ifatunji@gmail.com> > Sent: Feb 23, 2013 12:38 PM > To: statalist@hsphsun2.harvard.edu > Subject: st: Setting general preferences using syntax > > Statalist, > > I am converting from mostly using Stata on my local machine to using Stata mostly on a Unix server. This means that every time I open Stata, the general preferences are in the default. I would like to create a .do file that I can run when I open Stata on the Unix server that will set all of my colors and fonts so that I do not have to do this manually each time. > > Is there a way to do this?
