I'm very fond of the misschk procedure, which you can download along with the rest of spost_12 (findit misschk). It generates dummy variables of missing data indicators which you could use for selection by an if statement and gives a very nicely formatted report on patterns. The new missing data suite is great, too, but misschk is lean and mean. * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/resources/statalist-faq/ * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
