I second that suggestion:

"to show commands and syntaxes in the results window". Oftentimes, it is hard to figure out the syntax when making minor edits to a graph....it would be so helpful if we could see the syntax that makes the change.

....and the others about improving the -sem- module. It is a great tool, particularly because it is the first version, and it has many advantages vis-à-vis other programs (e.g., like MPlus). However, it would be good if -sem- could be fine tuned on a couple of things:

1. robust overdidentification (chi-square) statistic for modules with continuous indicators of latent variables

2. categorical indicators of latent variables and categorical dependent variables (with a robust Weighted Least Squares statistic, e.g., see: Flora, D. B., & Curran, P. J. (2004). An empirical evaluation of alternative methods of estimation for confirmatory factor analysis with ordinal data. Psychological Methods, 9(4), 466-491. Muthén, B. O. (1984). A general structural equation model with dichotomous, ordered categorical, and continuous latent variable indicators. Psychometrika, 49(1), 115-132. Muthén, B. O., du Toit, S. H. C., & Spisic, D. (in press). Robust inference using weighted least squares and quadratic estimating equations in latent variable modeling with categorical and continuous outcomes. Psychometrika.

All the best to all for the new year.
J.
