Did you specify
ln_ years_ abroad
in your varlist, and is years_ an acceptable abbreviation for years_abroad?
The command and output shown below do not agree, so it is hard to
diagnose any problem.
Maybe precede your call to -ivpois- with a -ds- to see if you have the
desired varlist:

ds  met_abroad lnage US italy france etc.
