Hi guys, i am completely new to stata and have a question regarding the splitting of my dataset into percentiles. I am examining the impact of migration on the wage distribution and am considering variation over time and regions (provinces). so for each province for each year i need the different percentiles of wages. does anyone know how to do this without splitting up the dataset in excel prior to stata? I have been trying with the -centile- function but i dont know how to tell stata to do that for every year and every province and additionaly to expand this to the control variables aswell. thanks a lot!!!! seb * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/statalist/faq * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
