st: t-test and missing values

Hi all,
I am facing a simple but a bit confusing situation...
I am running a simple unpaired t-test on equality of means of two
variables, say var1 and var2
var1 var2
------------------------------
1 3.4
2 3
3 1
. 2
4 .
0 .
.
I want Stata to ignore the missing values? In other words, these
records should not be counted as a sample point?
Does "unpaired" option after ttest do this?
Thanks,
Navid
