Dear Statalist,
I am never quite sure what the best method is to contribute to a
Statalist discussion I find in the Statalist digest.
There does not seem to be anything in the Statalist FAQ on this,
but I can't be the only person with this problem.
My own recommendation is to not use the Digest at all. Instead,
create a separate folder for Statalist messages and set up a filter
that sends messages there. You can then easily read and ignore
messages as you like, and you aren't always a day behind on
everything. Plus, you don't have all these threading issues. There
may be a few minutes of learning curve but filters are very useful
once you have them set up.
