Hello All,
Thanks to Kit Baum, an update to the mahapick package has been placed in SSC.
This package includes several programs to compute a Mahalanobis
distance measure.
This update includes a new program, mahascore2, which computes a
Mahalanobis distance measure between two points in data-space.
Thus, it yields a single number, rather than a multitude of values.
The points may be specified explicitly as lists of values, or as the
means (centroids) of specified subsets of the data.
There are also minor improvements to some of the other programs and help files.
Thanks also go to Evan Kontopantelis of the University of Manchester
for suggesting this program.
