Outstanding "ground floor" opportunity with a startup organization focused on episode-based payments. The Senior Health Care Data Analyst will perform a wide range of analyses including pricing models for episode payments, quality measurements, actual-to-budget comparisons, program evaluations, and provider feedback reports. You will also integrate data from multiple source including claims, electronic medical records, and care management systems.
The ideal person will have three skills: 1) the ability to work with large administrative datasets, especially health claims data, 2) a good sense for healthcare including health economics, coding systems, and some clinical thinking, and 3) technical skills with analytic systems including databases, statistical languages (Stata preferred) , reporting tools, and MS Office.
The best person will be someone who works well under pressure, understands working with tight deadlines, gets the 80 20 rule, and is organized.
Candidates should have experience with database management systems and statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and/or Access, are a must. Understanding of coding systems (ICD-9, CPT-4, etc.) and "groupers" (e.g., DRG, ETG, DxCG) is also required.
The position is located in our Boston area office.
