Subject   st: tobit for placement data with heavy right truncation

Hello Statalisters,
I'm running a tobit where the dependent variable is placement (1st
place, 2nd place, 3rd place, etc). Only the top 10 get placed and I
made all the losers placement = 11. I have ten competitions. Is it
problematic that the right side trucation has so many observations? I
have 10 1st places, 10 2nd places, 10 3rd places, etc... but ~500
observations where the dependent variable is 11.

I also have a table where the dependent variable is simply a dummy for
win vs lose. Now I'd like to actually model the placements.

Thanks!
-Raymond
