It sounds like the ccmatch.ado file might have become corrupted, and has a "<" at the start of the file (leading to the error message).

You could try running -viewsource ccmatch.ado- to see what's actually in the file.

In any case I would try removing -ccmatch- and reinstalling it:
ado uninstall ccmatch
ssc install ccmatch
