Erik,Do you put the bot.tex and top.tex (provided by Ian Watson in the tutorial) files in the same working directory where you have the *.dta files. If not -tabout- can't work.
Hope this help. Alberto R. Osella, MD, PhD Laboratorio di Epidemiologia e Biostatistica IRCCS Saverio de Bellis Via Turi, 27 70013 Castellana Grotte (BA) Italia Tel: +39 0804994655 Fax: +39 0804994650 e-mail: arosella@irccsdebellis.it Il 31/01/2012 15:26, Erik Carter ha scritto:
Hello Statalist users, I'm somewhat of a neophyte-intermediate in the use of Stata and would like some advice on formatting a publication worthy table. I've attempted to use the tabout program to build a table based on the tutorial by Ian Watson but am having some difficulty. Even when I am trying to duplicate the examples using the ado files provided I am 1) getting various error messages 2) unsure as to how I use the .tex file to produce the publication quality tables. Sorry for the rudimentary questions. Looking forward to any clarity that anyone can shared on this topic. Many thanks, Erik Carter UCSF SON * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/statalist/faq * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
