I sympathise with and support your stance here. Btw, although this
character lists a Durham affiliation, I don't know him. He didn't
reply to a direct mail from me explaining that he has access to Stata
12 at Durham. Not a big deal but like your exchange a little irritating.

Pasquale,
Pardon my bluntness ...
For reference and the convenience of you and other Statalisters,
here is my previous response:

Regarding your question, if you read my previous response you will
see I referred to the sigmamore and sigmaless OPTIONS. Not
commands. See the help file for the -hausman- command.
Regarding your posting, you should read the Stata FAQ:
http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/res/statalist.html
Deleting the previous discussion from what you sent to Statalist, as
you did, makes it much harder for anyone to follow what is going on,
let alone try to offer help.
You should read postings more closely. The difference between an
option and command is something you should have been able to work
out yourself.
And in the same vein, my previous posting said "please reply to the
list if you have a follow up question to this post, not to me
personally". Why you continue to send things directly to my
personal email is a mystery to me. It is also more than a little
annoying.
But please do pardon my bluntness.

Dear Mark and other Statalister,
Many thanks for all your replies. I tried to solve my problem
through following your suggestions, but in my STATA version
10 I do not find any "sigmamore" or "sigmaless"
command which can allow me to force my Hausman test. The
search for stata commands in the help function of the
software does not give me any evidence of their existence.
Do you have any other hint?
Regards,
P
