Dear all,
A small bug-fix has been applied to the two packages such that a long
list of variable names can now be used when opening a compressed
dataset. Thanks to Kit Baum for updating the packages.
Best,
Henrik
PS: The commands may be obtained via the commands -search gzsave, all-
or -search zipsave, all-. Briefly the packages allow saving and opening
compressed datasets straightforwardly from within Stata. Brief
descriptions of the packages are:
zipsave from http://fmwww.bc.edu/RePEc/bocode/z
'ZIPSAVE': module to save and use datasets compressed by zip - this
module allows you to save and use datasets compressed by zip on
WindowsXP/Unix/Linux/Macintosh in order to save disk space and network
load. Shares syntax with Stata's -save-, -saveold- / and -use- commands.
gzsave from http://fmwww.bc.edu/RePEc/bocode/g
'GZSAVE': module to save and use datasets compressed by gzip - these
routines allow to save and use datasets compressed by gzip in order to
save disk space and network load. They share syntax with / Stata's save,
saveold and use commands.
