An Introduction to Applied Multilevel Analysis

**A new advanced course, of interest to those working with multilevel
data who wish to further their knowledge of regression analysis*
This module aims to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to
facilitate analysis of multilevel data by means of lectures and hands-on
analysis of data from real studies, using the statistical software
package STATA.
Four day teaching event 11-14 November 2011
The course starts with a four day teaching event at the University of
York from 11 - 14 November 2011, followed by a period of private study
and an assessment (computer based and 'open book') on 9 January 2012 to
get the academic credits (otherwise you can just attend the sessions but
you will not get the academic credits). The module will cover multilevel
modelling for the following types of response data: continuous, binary,
count and time-to-event data. It will also cover Cluster Randomised
Controlled Trials. The course offers 10 credits at Level 7 (Masters).
