st: pasting excel worsheet with missing values in Stata 12 - Bug?

I have a small excell file (35 obs and 18 var). some of the variables have missing values. When I copy and and paste the worksheet into the Stata 12 data editor values shift to the left leaving the variables at the end missing. This is incorrect and it does not happen in Stata 11. For example:
In Stata 11 (correct):
.
cl in 3
Observation 3
rat 400 group 5% corn oil adipon~l 7032.72 glucos~l 141.5 hydrox~l .05
insuli~l 2.07 lauric~n . leptin~l 402.8 livert~g . l~gfbe~l 767592.1
l~nfae~l 27740.17 nefaas~l .328 tbarso~t .17 pnpass~n . serumt~l 117.3
tbaass~i . n~2e1w~n . n~4a1w~n .
In Stata 12 (incorrect):
Observation 3
rat 400 group 5% corn oil adipon~l 7032.72 glucos~l 141.5
hydrox~l .05 insuli~l 2.07 lauric~n 402.8 leptin~l 767592.1
livert~g 27740.17 l~gfbe~l .328 l~nfae~l 0.17 nefaas~l 117.3
tbarso~t . pnpass~n . serumt~l . tbaass~i .
n~2e1w~n . n~4a1w~n .
Note how values have shifted to the earlier variables an all the missing values are the end. I ting this is a bug.
Thank you,
Ricardo
