win man close viewer _all
works for me -- it closes all my viewer windows in Stata 12 MP (Mac OSX 10.7). I tried it with multiple windows (I tried it with 1, 2, 5, and 10 viewer windows open) and with one window with multiple tabs (by checking the 'open multiple windows as tabs in one viewer window' option in preferences). Might be a question for Stata Tech support if you tried the same thing and got different results(?)
