You can use your profile.do to (temporarily) assign your function keys
to the characters you want, e.g.:
global F6 = char(123)
global F7 = char(91)
global F8 = char(93)
global F9 = char(125)
Note that by default F7 is assigned to the character string "save" and
F8 to the character string "use"
