Some things to do:

Stick with -anova- and do manual calculations from the bits and pieces in the ANOVA tables and ereturn list.

Reformulate the model for -xtmixed- and use Phil Ender's -anovalator-.

Stata 12, out in a few weeks, has new features for experimental data and linear models.
