st: Selection of text blocks on Mac (ALT+mouse drag on windows)

Hi Stata List,
after a few years of absence from the list (and, indeed, Stata) I am
very happy to have another project where I can use Stata. I have
meanwhile moved from Windows to Mac OS and still struggling to adapt
to the slightly different keyboard shortcuts etc.
One current problem that I am having (and for which I could not come
up with a suitable search string to find the answer myself in the
archives or the www) is the selection of "text blocks" from the
results window. For example, if I
sysuse auto
tab foreign
I might want to copy and paste the variable labels and frequencies of
the tabe but not the rest. On Windows I can hold down the ALT key
while dragging the mouse across the bits that I want and then copy. On
Mac that doesn't seem to work - I can only select whole lines of
output.
Is there a Mac equivalent of this?
Thanks,
Christian
