Huu,

Note that your second syntax is illegal. Only -ptrendi- is an "immediate" command. -ptrend- works on variables in an existing data set.  See the -help- for -ptrend-.

Because it's a user-contributed command and you need to install it:

Type "ssc install ptrend" at the command line.
