You can use 32 bit ODBC on 64 bit Windows and on 32 bit Windows with 32 bit
Stata. The 32 bit ODBC-Manger (which shows Access-Drivers) in Win64 is
?C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe?.
With 64 bit Stata you can only use 64 bit ODBC. The 64 bit Driver for
MsAccess comes with Office 2010/64 bit and can be downloaded separately. It
is not possible to install this driver as long as a 32 bit version of Ms
Office is installed. On the web you find the tipp to deinstall Office 32
bit, install the 64 bit AccesEngine and reinstall Office 32 bit. This didn?t
work for me. Stata 64 + Office 2010 64 bit runs without problems. But
Office 64 bit has issues with other Office addons that are only available
in 32 bit versions. You should only install this version, if you don?t need
addons of this type (in Excel/Word/Powerpoint).
