I don't think there is a translator for control files. The
easiest way is probably to transfer the data using
Stat/Transfer: <http://www.stattransfer.com/>
Stat/Transfer is great, but the OP would have to have SAS or SPSS
to create the binary file for S/T to translate. Sometimes the
input statements for large files are so consistent from variable
to variable that it is possible to write 5 or 10 lines of code
to translate to a Stata dictionary. A general translator that
could handle any SAS input statement would be much more complicated.
