I suspect something went wrong while you updated Stata. I would
try to update again. If that does not help, then there is probably
something fundamentally wrong with your installation or there is
a bug in -merge-. Either way, we at statalist cannot help with
either problem. So if -update-ing again does not help you need to
contact Stata's techsupport directly:
