st: using apc_ie with survey data

Dear Stata users,
I am interested in using the user written apc_ie command of Sam Schulhofer-Wohl & Yang Yang for some age-period-cohort analyses of adolescent smoking. The data are from a stratified random sample survey. The apc_ie command does not accept the svy prefix in order to accurately estimate variance. Does anyone know of a possible workaround to be able to use this command with survey data?
Thank you for your consideration,
Amy
