Dear Erasmo
Yes, you are right! This feature requires Stata 11. There are lots of great features in
Stata 11 if you might be thinking of upgrading, see http://www.stata.com/stata11/ .

Dear Michael,
Thanks. It didn't work with Stata 10. I assume it only works with
Stata 11, right?
Thanks,
Erasmo

Dear Erasmo
You can do this...
title("Panel A - Sensitivity of Tobin's {it:q} to Secured Market Leverage" "
", color(black) size(medium))
and the -q- will be in italics. You can see more examples of using symbols
and fonts at...

Dear Statalist,
I am using the scatter command to creat a graph. It takes a lot of
time, but one manages to create nice graphs. One thing that I do not
seem to resolve is how to italicize a portion of the title. Here is a
portion of the code that I use within the "scatter" command: ....
title("Panel A - Sensitivity of Tobin's q to Secured Market Leverage"
" ", color(black) size(medium)) .... I like to make the appearance of
the "q" in the title italic. I have spent hours with the scatter help
without any success. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Erasmo
