Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the -ldecomp- package is now
available from SSC. To install this update type in Stata
-ssc install ldecomp, replace-
-ldecomp- decomposes a total effect in a logit model into
direct and indirect effects. It is discussed in:
M.L. Buis (2010) "Direct and indirect effects in a logit
model", The Stata Journal, 10(1), pp. 11-29.
This update fixes a bug that resulted in an error in the
table of observed proportions when one or more control
variables where specified. This table is displayed when
the -obspr- option is specified and returned as e(prop_obs).
Fortunately, this error did not propagate to the other
tables.
This update also fixes a hard to understand error message
when one included in the list of control variables one or
more variables that were also specified in -direct() and
-indirect()-. In the new version these variables will
automatically be removed from the list of control
variables.
