Thank you very much, I am glad to hear from you. This could be one possible
option. Saying this, in the previous stata do editor, it is possible to do the
same thing regardless of placing the cursor at the beginning of the first line
or not (using the procedure I have tried to describe before). Thus, I am
expecting that it should be true for stata 11.1 do editor...

Nigussie,
Place the cursor at the beginning of the first line that you want to
run, press and hold the Shift key and click at the end of the last
line that you want to run. See also this page:
