Hello, I have estimated an AIDS model by adapting Poi's code, which I found in the stata 10 manual ("nlsur" command). The problem is the following: Poi's program uses a temporary variable, "lnpindex"; now, I would like to use the values of the latter for my own calculations, but this is not possible as "lnpindex" is indeed a temporary variable. How can I overcome this? I'd imagine that I'd need to define "lnpindex" as a global macro, instead of a temporary variable. However, first I'm not sure if this is correct and then, even if it was, I wouldn't know how to modify the code accordingly. Any help? That would be greatly appreciated.
