Thanks for letting me know what SPSS is doing for univariate RM-ANOVA.

R and JMP (SAS) seem not to do listwise/casewise deletion like SPSS when doing repeated measures using ANOVA. Your message suggests you knew this.

Stata's MANOVA uses listwise deletion of course.
