You're right-- the .plist file from the link I posted won't remind you of unclosed comments /* */, 
but it will change the color of all words enclosed in quotes further down in the do-file until you close 
your comment.  However, that's not a great solution.    I forgot that to get this functionality I had installed 
a fix that was created by Steve Samuels as described here:

and is available for download here:  

http://sites.google.com/site/disinterested/CommentUncomment.scpt?attredirects=0

You'll need to edit the script file as described in Steve's post and assign short cut keys.
