Thanks to Kit Baum, a revised version of -scores- is on SSC.
In the previous version a call to -scores- could delete a variable if it
was an element of "varlist" *and* specified as "newvar" *and* the option
"replace" was chosen. This has been fixed. Additionally, -scores- now
allows to use [if] and [in].
Scores can be used to center variables, transform variables to z-scores
or to POMP-scores, or to calculate scores (min, max, total, sd, mean -
centered, z, POMP) based on a set of items depending on an user
specified maximum number of missing values resp. on an user specified
minimum number of valid (non missing) values.
