Strangely although I didn't change my do file, everything is working for me
today.  All I can think is that I must have been fat-fingering something
yesterday.  Thanks so much for the helpful and quick responses!

Actually, the  do file should be sufficient, plus a list of e(V),
Vmatrix (twice, once after each definition)  and display of every
scalar and returned macro mentioned in the four lines before the
-ereturn post- command.
