st: error with and question about mi command in Stata 11

Dear Stata-listers,
I want to apply multiple imputation using the mi command in Stata 11. However, I get the error "file _1___mitmpfile1.dta could not be opened
r(603);" each time I run the command, even after using Stata as an administrator (using the help that is given under the FAQ: open as administrator then typing update all followed by update swap) and putting the memory to the maximum that can be allocated at my computer (1G).
It did not happen previously (for some unknown reason) on a test database with the same number of observations (close to 100,000).
What would be the solution to this?
A second question is relating to this: I want to use the mi command to impute the number of cases missed in a prevalence survey. Therefore, the main outcome of interest would be a number + a confidence interval around this. How can I get to this?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
