almost an identical configuration, and can set mem to 6 G w/o problems.
Your do-file could contain the line
set mem 1200m
among its first lines. Setting mem permanently does not mean that you cannot
deviate from your setting on an ad-hoc basis...

Thanks Mark--however the settings I described are set permanently...ie
before I open the do file ...or I may not have caught your
meaning...if so I apologize and request further clarification.
