About the Conference
---------------------
The eighth German Stata Users Group meeting will be held at Berlin
Graduate School of Social Sciences on Friday, June 25, 2010. Anyone
interested in Stata is invited to attend.
We are very delighted that Sophia Rabe-Hesketh and Barbara Sianesi have
accepted our invitation to attend the meeting as guest speakers. Sophia
Rabe-Hesketh is the leading developer of GLLAMM, the Stata module for
generalized linear latent and mixed models. She will give a talk on
“Biometrical modeling of twin and family data in Stata”. Barbara Sianesi
is the developer of psmatch2, the Stata module for propensity score
matching. Her talk is entitled "An introduction to matching methods for
causal inference and their implementation in Stata".
Moreover, Bill Gould (president) and David Drukker (head of
econometrics) from Stata Corp. will be present.
We still seek presentations on topics that include
o userwritten Stata programs,
o case studies of research or teaching using Stata,
o discussions of data management problems,
o reviews of analytical issues, and
o surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields.
The conference language will be English because of the international
nature of the meeting and the participation of non-German guest
speakers. (See http://www.stata.com/meeting/proceedings.html for the
proceedings of other user group meetings.)
