Courtesy of Kit Baum, an update of the SQ package for Sequence analysis
is available on SSC. Users of the SQ package are asked to type
. adoupdate sq, update
in the command window. To try the SQ package for the first time type
. ssc install sq
The update concerns the command -sqom- for performing optimal matching.
The command has two new subcommands, -sqom save- and -sqom use-. -sqom
save- stores the distance matrix created by -sqom- on disk. -sqom use-
retrives distance matrices stores by -sqom save-. This offers the
possiblity to create several huge distance matrices overnight and to
process them with the other tools for sequence analysis on the other
day. See -help sqom- for details.
Many regards
Uli
