st: ml, svy st error calculation

Dear users,

I'm looking for references for detailed documentation on the
particular method that stata uses to achieve the corrected standard
errors when using the svy option with the ml command (i.e.  ml...,
svy).  I've searched the web and the Stata documentation to no avail.
Has anyone came across such documentation or academic articles in this
regard?
