Thanks to Kit Baum, the program -rcspline- has been revised on SSC. For a brief description, type

. ssc desc rcspline

Stata 10 is required, as -rcspline- is a wrapper for -mkspline, cubic-.

Use -ssc- or -adoupdate- to install or update, as appropriate.

The revision is in response to José Maria Pacheco de Souza, who asked on Statalist about retrieving knot positions from -rcspline-. See the thread started in

<http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/lwgate/STATALIST/archives/statalist.0905/date/article-115.html>

The program is now r-class and leaves knot locations in its wake.

Nick
