Courtesy of Kit Baum, an update of the sq package for sequence analysis
is available on SSC. The update the new program -sqmdsadd- which allows
to add the results of a multi-dimensional scaling on the distance matrix
created by optimal matching.
Preliminary tries have shown that using dimensions created by an MDS
work particularly well for sorting the sequences in an
sequence-index-plot.
Type
. adoupdate sq, update
to update your existing installation of sq, or
. ssc install sq
if you want to install the package the first time.
