One solution would be to use -logit- or -mlogit- to estimate these
odds (ratios), like in the example below, and use Ben Jann's -estout-
to display the results.
Hope this helps,
Maarten
*------------------ begin example ---------------------------
sysuse auto, clear
recode rep78 1/2 = 3
tab rep78, gen(rep)
logit foreign rep2 rep3 , or
eststo a
logit foreign rep1 rep2 rep3, or noconstant
eststo b
esttab a, eform constant
// the odds of being a foreign car when in rep category 1 is
// .08 foreign cars for every domestic car (_cons)
// This odds is 12,3 times higher when in rep category 2, and
// 55.5 times higher when in category 3
esttab b, eform
// The odds of being a foreign car when in rep category 1 is
// .08 foreign cars for every domestic car, for rep caterory 2
// the odds is 1 foreign car for every domestic car, and for
// category 3 the odds is 4.5 foreign cars for every domestic
// car
