Dear Martin:
it worked. The line patterns are the same, for sts graph and two way. But it
is possible to add the msymbols.
I used -twoway scatter mk _t if gruponum==3, connect(stairstep)
lpattern("__...__") msymb
ol(d) sort||scatter mk _t if gruponum==4, connect(stairstep)
lpattern("-") msymbol
(oh) sort||scatter mk _t if gruponum==5, connect(stairstep) sort
msymbol(x) lpatter
n("l")-
Thank you.

Subject: st: AW: linepattern/msymbol in Kaplan-Meier graph?
find a way to capture the data being plotted in an -sts graph-, and plot
them using -twoway (line studytime y, connect(stairstep))-. I think you
could generate the data with -sts generate-, >

Betreff: st: linepattern/msymbol in Kaplan-Meier graph?
Dear statalisters:
My Kaplan-Meier graph does not distinguish well between the lines when
transposed to publication, using the allowed combinations of lines, dashes
and dots. Is there some alternative, like in twoway graphs, using mark
symbols?
Thank you.
