Dear Jverkuilen:

Actually stata has routine for cross sectional factor analysis (its command in stata is - factor - ). But I think it does not have capability for panel data. So I was just asking if someone has tried to program factor analysis for panel data. Factor analysis or principal component analysis is a technique for data reduction.

best regards.

Could you describe what you mean by panel data factor analysis? I can think of a few things that you might be referring to.

Dear Statalisters:

Just wanted to ask if there is some user-written program for panel data
factor analysis in stata. Your answer would really be helpfull.

Best regards,
