I recently presented two in-house training workshops to PhD students
and research staff on "Audit trails, reproducibility and output
processing" and "Effective use of Stata graphics". The materials may
be of wider interest.
The materials are now downloadable from my webpage at
http://www.iser.essex.ac.uk/staff/staff-details.php?personID=20. The
materials are in a single zip file archive, and include Stata .do
files, data files (Stata and Excel), and the Powerpoint files. See the
"README-ISER-workshops.txt" file included in the zip file for more
details. In short, the 2 Powerpoint files provide background and
commentary; the 2 .do files contain a large number of examples.
Stata 10 for Windows, and a basic Stata knowledge, are assumed.
You'll see that I made extensive use of materials produced by members
of this list and others in the Stata community -- for which many
thanks. Acknowledgements are in the .do and powerpoint files.
