The median survival time is the time it takes for 50% of a cohort to
die.
You will only get an estimate of this if at least 50% have died in the
course of follow-up.

Subject: st: stci won't produce median values
I'm trying to produce median time to death values for various
covariates. "Stci, by (sex) median" gives me male values only and no
standard error or 95%CI values. "stci, by (sex) rmean" works fine.
Does median not work for right-censored data?
Thanks
