There is nothing explicit in the FAQ on how to respond to "old" threads,
however "old" is defined.
If you have the original email(s) in your files, you may naturally reply
to any of those as appropriate. Or you can (e.g.) copy and paste content
and/or titles from the archives into a draft.
As both StataCorp and Harvard archives are organised in monthly batches,
there is not much gain or loss over whether your email is linked to
older emails in the archives.
The best way to link is by giving a precise date (as you did) or a URL
of the best post to look at in the archives.

p.s. I couldn't figure out a way to respond to this old thread. Is it
in
FAQ?

Subject: Hebrew labels
Is there a way to read Hebrew in Stata? I have a data set with the
variable
and the value labels in Hebrew.
