According to the online help under

whelp extended_fcn

the syntax of your -local- command should be

local myfiles: dir "C:\data\kingdom" files "*.csv"

I hope this helps.

what wrong with my syntax?

I am trying to save all the csv files in a folder for an append.

local myfiles: dir "C:\data\kingdom\*.csv"

foreach file of local myfiles {
  display "`file'"
}

An explanation as to why the above doesn't work is also welcomed
