editor vim from within Stata using the -shell- command. This is
presenting problems because vim expects to be opened from within a
terminal window.
In the Unix version of Stata, -xshell vim ...- would be the solution.
The -xshell- command will be implemented in the next update of Stata
for Mac OS X.
