Ana,

After running -movestay- you can call -predict-, and it's not a bug to have prediction command called something else then "predict", in fact that's how it works, after estimating ML, movestay (and all the other similar commands) return name of the prediction command in the e(predict) local and that's how Stata's -predict- knows what to run.

Hope this helps,
Zurab

You may increase your chance to get an answer by:
1) choosing a title (and possibly, an informative one) for your e-mail
2) citing where you found -movestay- (do you have the latest version from SSC? or some older one from the SJ?), since it is not an official command
3) using dashes to distinguish command names for anything else
4) telling us exactly what you typed, and not only the error message
The fact that the prediction command is referred to as -predict- in the -movestay- help file, while the name of the ado-file is -mspredict- let me think that some bugs may have survived to the usual checks that a program undergoes before being posted on SSC. I would like to be more informative, but I have some troubles in running -movestay- on my dataset. May-be you may ask to the command's authors directly and then post the solution to the list.
Please read the Statalist FAQ before reposting your question.

Dear Statalist

I am using movestay command to address the endogeneity of one variable in
a standard wage equation. The command seems to work fine, however I cannot
use the mspredict afterwards.

When trying to obtain any predicted value, the following message appears

r111
equation selec not found (selec is the selection equation)

I have checked you threads but have not seen anything related to this in
particular. Does somebody know how to fix the issue?

thanks a lot
