Sergiy, could you expound on that a little?  I'm interested in compiling
some Fortran 77 code as a plugin.

I was aware that Pascal could be used, because it also uses header files.
(Not long after plugins became available in Stata, someone posted to
Statalist about having used Pascal for a plugin.)

But, like Tom Trikalinos, I was under the impression that I had to call
Fortran from C.  How would I do it directly?
